During these challenging times, Great Hill Dental Boston want you to know that we are committed to the health and safety of our patients and dental staff.

We are following the recommendation of the American Dental Association (ADA) to provide emergency care, reducing the strain on emergency rooms and urgent care centers. By postponing routine dental care, dentists can make a difference in helping to preserve the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) critical for emergency dental care and front-line healthcare personnel responding to the pandemic.

All routine and non-urgent dental care is being postponed, and we will reach out to reschedule any missed appointments once our office is cleared to again see more routine appointments. If you have left us a voicemail, please know that your message has been listened to and logged into our system. We are prioritizing those with urgent and emergency dental needs and will reach out to reschedule when we have more information about routine dental appointment availability.

If you have a dental emergency, you may call our office and follow the emergency prompts or email us at . Our on-call dentist will reach out to speak to you regarding next steps to address your immediate dental concerns.

Should you need to be seen, urgent and emergency dental care is being provided at our location. Our practice is following the guidance of the ADA, CDC, and our current rigorous universal cleaning protocols include enhanced measures in place to keep patients and providers safe. According to the ADA, emergency dental care includes severe dental pain, surgical post-op complications, abscesses, tooth fractures, and dental trauma. It can also include replacement of temporary fillings, cementing of permanent crowns/bridges or adjustment of orthodontic wires if pain or discomfort is present.

If you are in braces, our orthodontists offer this guide for handling orthodontic emergencies at home.  If your issue is elevated to an emergency, you can also call our practice and you will be routed to a patient coordinator or directed to leave a voicemail message:  Handling Orthodontic Emergencies

We realize this is a difficult time for all and thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this situation together. We are working to reopen our practice as quickly and safely as possible, with guidance from the state, the ADA, and the CDC. While you are at home, please remember to take care of yourself. Please see these tips on caring for your oral and overall health while at home, and for the most up-to-date information about the practice:  Taking Care of Your Health During Covid-19
